Our Story:

In the mid 90’s a network that spanned the whole of our region was birthed, it was called The Net. This very organic organisation sought to create a network of relationships between Christians from all walk s of life across the whole of the Black Country. A small group of leaders facilitated collaborative activity through connecting people together. This work has taken a variety of different shapes over the years, including gathering thousands for prayer, creating a network for business people, leader’s gatherings, the completion of a government-funded faith survey and much more. This networking organisation continues its work under the banner of Love Black Country. By 2005 strong networks started to be formed in each borough and in the last 10 years, many of these networks have continued to grow and change shape.

The Dudley Network was one of those networks that started to develop a stronger borough identity and in 2011 we named ourselves Love Dudley.

Many organizations both secular and religious can be accused of working in their own silos, solely focused on their own particular delivery of a project or service. Our hope is that by working collaboratively, exploiting collective effort, and connecting people relationally, and by providing spaces to communicate effectively we can harness the power of togetherness.

All in our network share a common goal. The bible tells us to pray for the ‘peace and prosperity of your city’. We want to prayerfully serve the borough of Dudley, contributing to its spiritual, economic and social transformation. The church across Dudley and its members are actively engaged in many different ways in delivering this vision. In fact, the results of the Faith Survey completed in 2007 revealed that the church;’

Has over 2,000 volunteers contributing 2,200 volunteers hours per week.

Employs over 250 people working in communities across the borough.

Has initiated 300 community-based projects of a wide range of support.

Supports 9,500 young people with weekly activities.
